Neanderthal Mussing? Can there be a uglier name to a blog. Maybe not. While the mussing part is influenced by the pop culture of our times. Many of friends have "Name"_"Mussing" as their blog title.
Mine is Neanderthal? Trust me. I have to copy the spelling every time. The pain is real. Neanderthals, or more rarely Neandertals, were a species or subspecies of archaic humans in the genus Homo that went extinct about 24,000 years ago. Neanderthals and modern humans share 99.7% of their DNA and are hence closely related.
What has to do with me? I find them just the right metaphor for a human life. I think we always are in pursuit of being human. We are just a tad bit lower. The difference being .3%. If only the Neanderthals had that, we might have cousins here, and possibly one more specie to fuck around.
The is a story of one such Neandertal who is fighting everyday with his own biology and the forces around to grow, to nurture, to become more human, to get a glimpse of what is it like to be human.
I do understand that this Neandertal will fall. It is destined to fall. The process is about documenting his situation, his emotion and his aspiration and to make a meaning of this falling.
That will be all for this first post.
Long live the humans. :)
